Week 23: Forward Progress

Welcome to week 23.
As I noted that, it hit me that the year is close to being
half-over.  In a year of such chaos and change, I have mixed
feelings about this but in the end, it doesn't really matter.
Time is fleeting so rather than lament what has been lost,
I think it's best to just keep the eyes forward and make
the most of the now, right?

It has certainly taken more time than I thought to get
things to settle down after our temporary move.  It amazes
me how much time is lost in little moments.  For example,
serious cooking sessions take much longer when not in
one's usual space, and none of the supplies are either.
And while I'm getting the daily routines down, even getting
ready in the mornings took an extra 5 or 10 mins for a time.

Adjusting to the sewing room was easy-peasy at least.
It occured to me that this had a lot to having all my storage
cabinets and workstations with me.  I have also come to realize
that the system I've created for myself is pretty darned snazzy!
I have to admit, I patted myself on the back for this.
(Gotta take advantage of those moments, eh?)

So overall, I had a better week quilt-wise.  I should likely
go a little easy on myself with the current project in particular
with it's thousands of eensy, teensy pieces!
But I sure am feeling that pull to work on something else.
Well, not until the blocks are all done!

So, here we go:

Week 23 Goals

1) Piece at least half of the blocks:  Completed.
I didn't count and I'm likely not there
but I reached the point I was after...

which is to be able to move on to the next goal (#2).

2) Portion out the remainder into sets:  Completed.

Yes, this will slow the process down but at least I won't
have to worry if I'll end up with like 5 reds or something.

3) Catch up on other blogs:  Progress made; still working.

4) Keep striving for weekly posts:  Completed.
Two in a row.  So far so good.

Keep looking forward
and happy quilting!
