After soooo many months of waiting, the move is upon us.
Dragging it out for so long has at least made it easier for
hubs and I (in our middle age) to get everything ready.
We're almost there. Almost.
I continue to be very at peace with all of it but even more
has have happened over the last few weeks to make it
easier to walk away. Always trust God has a plan.
Well I usually have a plan too.
I mean, if you're going to imitate Someone....!
"1776" (70x87)
Last week's plan was to finish my latest top but with
all that's going on, that just wasn't going to cut it.
I needed to finish something!
Oh the relief!
I scored the backing fabric last year at Primitive Gatherings.
I still remember hesitating, wondering if I had room in my luggage.
But it was on clearance and I knew I'd be making patriotic quilts
this year! I'm now so glad I brought it back home. Perfect, eh?
This pattern is "Flag Day" by Annie's Attic.
At the time of writing this, it's on sale for a mere $3, btw.
If you are interested in making it, I put a few tips here.
I really prefer Yorktown as a name but I think 1776 is more
readily understood/recognized when it comes to patriotism.
SO, 1776 it is. This, my last quilt finish...maybe for the year?
WOW! There's a thought!
But with all the tops that I'll be sewing up while I watch
my new "dream studio" grow should carry over to a
quilt-making record-breaking year in 2027.
I am unsure when my next post will be and my to-do list
for the next few weeks is rather astounding so I'll just
leave off with these wishes:
Happy quilting!
Have a blessed Holy Week & a Happy Easter!
