Week 44: Repeats and Finishes

Fall is in full swing around here finally.
The days are mild and the nights are cold.  And we've
gotten lots of rain.  Perfect, especially for quilting, eh?!

Let's check out that Week 44 Progress!
It might look like I'm showing older quilts but both of
this week's projects really are new; they're just repeats.
It's really a good thing I love to make fall quilts so much
because pretty much every minute in my sewing room
these last months have been spent with on them.

1) Complete Pick of the Patch:  Done!

(69x88)

The pattern is Pick of the Patch by Wendy Sheppard.
As with the previous quilt, I added the flying geese
border as a way to use up the trimmings from the
outer corners of those star blocks.

Last week, I'd just started putting this one into rows
but just a couple days later, it was a finish.

This was a customer request so it wasn't a huge surprise that
it sold seconds after listing it but it was still just as exciting.
It never gets old and it makes all the work worth it.

2) Start on next quilt (customer request):  Awesome progress.

I've lost track of how many of these I've made.  (Four?  Five?)
I do have other ideas to try out but per customer's request,
I stuck to the same-o.  Mostly.

In less than a week, the inner top is done; add one border
quilt it up and ba-bam, I'll have another finish in one week!
[read:  rain + knee injury = not much golf = more quilt time]

3) Pack up formal dining room:  No progress.
Dragging my feet here.  Quilting is more fun than packing!

Looking ahead to next week:

1)  Start next quilt

Do I pop out another fall quilt?  Move on to Christmas?
Or jump right on into next year's inventory?
Just how many more quilts can I squeeze in before the end
of the year, with the holidays and the big move coming up?

2) Pack something.  Anything.  Really!

Have a great week and enjoy the fall!
