Tuesday To-Do #28

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday To-Do,
a link-up hosted by Texas Quilt Gal for us quilters
who like a little extra motivation to get things done!

Hubs and I are now fully recovered and even played
some golf this weekend.   I had nothing on the calendar
for the whole week anyway and stayed somewhat active
in the sewing room most of the time so I even have
some things to share today.

1) Finish post for the
DONE!

I got two projects made for the hop and posted
a tutorial for both of them here.

If you missed it please go check it out, along with
the other blogs on the hop.  Make sure you
sign up for the cute little prizes I'm giving away
AND the hop's grand prize!

2) Quilt Once in a Blue Pumpkin
Not done.
I could sit at a sewing machine most of the time
but the dizziness kept me from do any quilting
so I put this off.

3) Finish West Point Stars II Top
Almost done--just needs one more border.

When I pulled my "WP projects" basket out, I found
that I did not make great notes--or I lost some.  Oy.

One thing I've learned about myself this year while working
toward a more business-like approach to my quilting is
that I am not the uber-organized person I used to be!

So as I work on this 3rd Etsy-WP quilt, I'm taking the
time to write down all measurements and cutting
directions, and I've created diagrams on EQ8 to go
with them.   For increased efficiency, everything can be
mixed and matched:  pieces, blocks and quilt designs.
The designs are traditional and basic but I did do all the
planning and math so the entire project is kind of special
to me.   And now I have a collection of patterns (all based
on 3" fussy cut squares from the special order fabrics)
to draw from, or add to, as long as I keep making
 the WP quilts.

4) August Monthly Goal Post

5) Next-Projects Update Post
Partly done.

Next week:
Quilt Once in a Blue Pumpkin
Quilt West Point Stars II
Work on Snow Day

Happy quilting!

So glad you're feeling better, and back to golfing even! The WP quilt is looking good. The rest of us think you're super organized because you get so much done!

Glad you're feeling better. Also glad to know I'm not the only one whose organizational skills seem to be slipping.
