Positivity Link Up: Finished Tops

I have two tops to share today for

My first top, Cinnamon Latte, is already quilted
and awaiting binding.  Upon completion,
hopefully this week, it will be mailed off to
Bernie for Mercyful Quilts.

I'm saving the reveal for when I have it completed
but for now, here's a sneak peek at the quilting.

I'm still working on a name for my second top.
To make it one a little more unique, I put a panel
with quote from Proverbs in the center:
"She is clothed in strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future."
"Positively Proverbs" is kind of the obvious
name but I'm still thinking on it.
After working through several ideas I settled
on an off-white solid fabric on each side to fit
the panel in with the blocks.  Up close, it looked
fine but once it was in and I looked at it in a pic,
(aka, farther back) I wish I'd given it a little more
thought.  I may yet go back and insert a strip of
the smaller off-white squares...but it's already
hanging on the long-arm frame.  If I use a
gold quilting thread, it might put a little design
onto that solid, helping it to blend better.
Hmm....
This one will either be sold (proceeds from all of my
sales go to charity) or given to a church fundraiser.

Happy quilting!

Those are beautiful, Cheree! I love that latte look! Each time I see someone's layout, it makes me stop and think - what if I did that? Your second quilt is making me want to go look for a panel that could be used as the center! That's such a neat idea!
Cinnamon Latte is Lovely!!! That is a beautiful color scheme!
what about Coffee and Cream for the other? It is beautiful too!

They both turned out beautifully. Well done. You could always go with Positively Proverbial or Proverbial Positive. 😉

Both quilts are just lovely. I know you'll come up with a good name for the second one. Cinnamon Latte makes me want to go get a Cinnamon Dolce De Leche at Starbucks - but I think I'll opt to go walking instead (maybe)!

Cheree, these are both beautiful. Mercy is so happy to be the recipient of Cinnamon Latte. I can't wait to receive it and bring it over to them. They are thrilled to be receiving so many Positivity quilts, each one such a lovely gift.

Cinnamon Latte. Perfect name. I can even see the swirls the barista put in. I do hope this quilt goes to a coffee lover! I like your other quilt, too, and I bet the solid fabric will look just fine when it is quilted. ( It looks fine already.)

Hi Cheree! Oh, Cinnamon Latte turned out just perfect! I enjoy both of the color schemes of both quilts and I am 100% certain that they will be well received and loved. Two someones will be covered in all the love and care you've stitched into each piece. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Oh Cheree, you and your gorgeous quilt tops took my breath away. I like brown and black as background or in small doses, but you have shown how captivating these colors can be when used correctly. I am in awe. And I did not even get to the quilting. Kudos to you. Thank you so much for participating.
