Tuesday To-Do's: Ombre Lattice Finished Top

Happy Tuesday.
I don't know about everyone else's weather but
it's been too hot to do much outside around here.
It is so nice getting on top of all my to-do's
that I don't miss being out there too much.
I still pop out for any necessary gardening and
some not-so-necessary pool time.

This week I feel like I made some real 
progress so it is once again a delight
to share my list:

1) Ombre Lattice Quilt:

Figure something out with those fabrics,

make the block and piece the whole top.

I ended up setting aside a bright green block and two of
the new fabrics.  Working in six new colors, I finally had

what I needed to complete my ombre lattice quilt top.

This was also my OMGoal which I was a little

late to get posted (surprise, surprise).

I won't get to quilting this for some time but I am
still already wondering what color of thread?!?

Btw, I finally get a design wall and I still ended up
using the floor!?

I thought those days were over but it was the only
way I could work with the yardage.

2) Farmer's Wife:  Make blocks 47 & 48.

3) 30's quilt:  Finish all chain blocks. 

I completed the main 32 blocks; I'll decide if I need
the last 4 when I get to the borders.
These are 8-inch, unfinished.

4)  Put kitchen back in order after painting.

Done.  And the peaceful green color is growing on me.

Alrighty, on to next week's to-do's:

1) 30's quilt
Start piecing sampler blocks.

One down!

Lots more to go!

I left the sashing off of my "sketch" but I'm
pretty sure I'll add it back in.  I'll share the
updated sketch soon.

2) Farmer's Wife

Complete blocks 49 & 50

3) Ombre Lattice:  setting aside & watching for fabric

This one is actually going to move off my list while
I keep my eyes out for a good backing.

I'm also going to be watching for a yellow background

for the nine-patch I shared last time.

So that's it for this week.  The past week's completions have
helped me not only feel like I'm getting somewhere but more
importantly, like I know where I'm going. This is why I'm so
anti-UFO, btw.  It's not that I have some sort of super-power,
it's that I can't function with too many things going.

Being freed up to focus just on the 30's quilt
is exactly what the quilt doctor ordered.
Actually, working on just one project at a time feels
rather super-empowering so I'm expecting it
to be another super-productive week!

And good luck to all the farmers.  In this sun and heat,
the wheat ripens right before your eyes.  Clearly
harvest is going to be very, very soon so I stepped
out to listen to our amber waves of grain.
If you farm you know that happy, rustling sound
