giving it a last solid try on the homestretch.
Ok, I might be cheating just a bit.
I'm picking a project near completion.
Yep, I'm one of those people that puts things that are almost
done (or maybe even just finished!) on a list just for the sheer
enjoyment of crossing it off. It's so motivating! And suddenly
you want to keep going. Right now, I really need to keep going.
Firstly, I need to finish this scrappy garlic knot quilt.
Honestly, I'm quilting it up as I write this and I should
have it done by the end of the day but we know how
that can get messed up so my November Goal it is!
There are now borders on it but I'm saving that for
the final reveal. Unquilted, it measures 78.5X84.5.
Because we've had such a busy fall, this project has
really dragged out for me--so much so that I called it
quits when I really should have added one more row
of knots but I was SO done and I felt that finishing this
one the same way it begins isn't that important,
or even noticeable.
This one is likely sold already but I still want to include
in this goal getting it pictured and listed in my shop.
I have the 950 HST's for this Petite Antique Lace pieced and
trimmed and the first block made. To make sure everything
is placed correctly, these blocks take some focus so maybe
I'm crazy doing this on a friend-sew-day but that is my plan.
I've gotten a start already and it's making a grand ol' mess
so I think I need to organize these so I can be sure things
will come out equally random. My secondary/hopeful-goal
is to have this one completely done for November as well,
Including pics and listing in my shop.
Now I know it's a busy month. There's going to be a holiday
with lots of cooking and baking and the kids will all be home.
Then there will be Christmas decorating and shopping.
I love it all but if someone could please slow it down a bit,
I would appreciate it so very much.
Thanks in advance.
I've got to fit in some solid house cleaning at some point!
Happy quilting!
