Bring This Turkey To Your Table

We have the same turkey to dinner every Thanksgiving.

What a cutey.

His very-important job on Thanksgiving Day is to
display the "thank you's" which family members
write on slips of paper and tie under the buttons.

He's actually 8 years old but I think he holds his age
well, don't you?  As I often do, I crafted two at once.
His brother went to a friend with 5 children at the time.
7 buttons = 5 children + 2 parents.  Perfect!
Not that you couldn't put extra thanks on each button.
She's had another child since then.
Just as there is no limit to love, there should
be no limit to our thanks.  :o)

And guess what?  The directions are still out there!
He's quick and fun and if you do much crafting,
chances are you already have everything you need.

at your Thanksgiving dinners.

Thanks for the link! Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone already, so I'll have to put this one on my to-do list for next year.

Visiting via Sew Many Ways linky!
He's cute. I've collected two different turkeys in the past year. I have them sitting side by side.

Thank you for sharing this. I am planning to make one, though I may have to use fabrics instead of felt because it's hard to find felt in Congo. Not sure yet where I'll find the string either. It will be a fun project to do with the kids and a visible reminder of all we have to be thankful for!
