We will be doing something similar in 2 weeks - new floor in the kitchen, dinette, powder room, laundry and front entry. It's all one big area but without too many items to move. I hope. We have four transition pieces - I can sure understand why you didn't want one across the room entry. Yay for giving us a closeup of September Glow. That background fabric is gorgeous as are the nine-patch. I love the dots and little stars! How sweet that you got to see your son and your granddaughter. I adore Vicki's sweaters - I've always been going to order one for my littles. Good luck with this week's list - I am tickled pink to see the Ombre quilt. I still haven't started mine. Geez. Thanks for linking up. ~smile~ RoseanneHome Sewn By Ushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13943739387560629258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6564138364076374706.post-18241407952489979682020-10-27T17:11:11.893-05:002020-10-27T17:11:11.893-05:00hehe snap with the comments! I think totally emptying and then re-filling your sewing room is a very productive time - plus you actually got sewing done on top of that - well done :-)Raewynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11123089629481933099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6564138364076374706.post-13490306961848377482020-10-27T14:33:49.287-05:002020-10-27T14:33:49.287-05:00I hope my comment went through! It was a jumble but felt good to get it back in better order. I love the quilt on the floor and the little ones playing there. It makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it? I have carpet in my sewing room and it desperately needs replacing. I wonder how wood would be, but one door it would be up against carpet and the other up against vinyl. I just don't think it would look good. But to redo carpet is worthless in the long run it would get ruined again anyway! Thanks for the shout out!Vicki in MNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16155452692252270164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6564138364076374706.post-2500997734175945582020-10-27T10:08:52.143-05:002020-10-27T10:08:52.143-05:00The floor looks great and the transition matching ...The floor looks great and the transition matching in the doorway will fool most people, so don't stress over it. Just enjoy the look and feel of wood. Sew what you can when you can is a good motto I think. <br />Be careful with a jelly roll rug...they will slide easily on that wood floor. I would probably opt for a narrow runner with the non-slip grid under it instead....for safety. Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08468608812169214999noreply@blogger.com
