Shakespeare at school, including school trips to see the RSC performing the play du jour, but I think the best performance I ever got to see was at the Ludlow festival where they performed MacBeth in the ruined castle. The witches were perched up on a ruined tower able to cackle and boil their cauldron whilst overlooking the stage where the action was going on.
